TV productions require stills photos as props, often as story devices.
Be they in a picture frame on set, a publicity shot, in the local newspaper or in a photo album or on a phone or tablet, these images need creating with the usual technical skill plus a reference to who might have taken the photograph
and even what type/era of camera it may have been photographed with.
They can quite often be a vital prop, central to telling a storyline.
A few times I've found myself playing the photographers role too.
